AE was a very distributed event, run in almost twenty different places, and at different times (which is great in itself). But lots of overlaps in the schedules created this all too familiar feeling that you ‘missing everything all the time’. This was not unsimilar to many other large conferences, but I think what made it particular painful in case of AE is a very poorly made overview, or a guide of the event. The brochure we all got in the beginning was a very confusing piece; it included (almost) all information about the content, but it did it in such a confusing manner that people constantly struggle how to orient themselves, and find their way through the AE thickets.
