During Strategic Futuring in the Red Dot Design Museum

After a couple of months of intensive preparations and research we have conducted a strategic future session with one of our clients, a global manufacturing company.  The topic was not about new products or new technological processes, of course, but rather on the new forms of relationships with the clients and customers that the company can (should?) develop.

I mentioned this projects earlier, but was not able to name the client (still can’t, in fact), but would like to share the very fact of doing this exercise, and also a very special atmosphere we managed to create with our partners.

It would most likely be a good workshop anyway, but it became really great also because of its location: we found a really inspiring site, the Red Dot Award museum located in the Zollverein complex near Essen.  Above is the picture made inside the museum and here how the surrounding looks in the evening.

It’s a stunning place, a former mine and coal refinery, and currently the UNESCO-protected cultural heritage site. The very place itself is an epitome of business and cultural transformation, and it also served as a wonderful backdrop for our own strategic futures session.
